My favorite holiday invitation to play in 2020 was this little Christmas baking setup.
I set this up two days before Christmas in A’s kitchen while she was napping. When she saw it she was so excited she got right to work. It warmed my heart so much!
It was Christmas prep time so we “made” Christmas cookies and even got them ready in an oven tray. Her kitchen was all decorated and we even had props like a scale and chocolate. It was one of my favorite moments of Christmas 2020.
Cleaning up is part of the learning process, so make sure to encourage your child to tidy up after they finish playing. Model how to do it until your child feels confident enough to initiate the tidying up process independently.
