When my daughter was 22 months old she was interested in sorting, counting, practical life activities and pretend play. These shelf activities reflected these interests with a holiday twist.
From left to right:
🎄 Sorting ornaments by shape (star and circle)
🎄 Decorative beads
🎄 DIY reindeer three-piece puzzle
🎄 Mystery Stocking
🎄 Dressing frame – zipper
🎄 Pom pom transfer with spoon
🎄 Christmas sing-along basket
🎄 Counting cards (1-3) with clothespins
These activities target mainly fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, visual discrimination, shape recognition, counting, practical life skills, language development and also offer opportunities for open-ended play.
