Snow Coloring

Have you ever tried to play with snow indoors? It’s super fun!

We don’t get snow too often so when it snows here we make the most of it! After spending the morning playing outside we decided to bring the fun indoors with this activity.

We filled up one of the bins from our sensory table with snow, some colored water and one pipette. (The coloured water was too light at first so we had to add more food coloring.)

This activity started off as a snow painting activity but soon turned into ice cream making, then an arctic scene when A decided to get her polar bears and eventually soup ☺️. This sensory play kept her engaged for over an hour.

Cleaning up is part of the learning process, so make sure to encourage your child to tidy up after they finish playing. Model how to do it until your child feels confident enough to initiate the tidying up process independently.
