Shelf Activities – 2.5 years old

At 2.5 years old my daughter was working on color matching, fine and gross motor skills, vocabulary, counting, emotional awareness and concentration.

This shelf rotation happened during summer. I don’t always do themed shelves but I do like to incorporate seasonal items – these shells for example have been out all summer for different activities. I feel it helps to bring the outside in a little, the rich textures connect us to nature and it also helps to reinforce the learning that’s naturally happening outside.
